On July 14, every Constellation plant participating in the PJM regional grid auction cleared. The company secured 18,875 megawatts at $325 per megawatt-day, effective June 1, 2028. The price reached the regulatory ceiling while the region remained about 6,800 megawatts short of its reserve target, signaling scarce supply. The result supports future capacity revenue, but nuclear receipts can reduce related production-tax-credit benefits, so the headline amount is not entirely incremental profit.

Calpine sellers offer sharesA large shareholder sale pressured shares while Constellation spent cash on repurchases.

On June 1, Calpine-related shareholders priced 11 million existing Constellation shares at $281 each.
