AllianceBernstein names Onur Erzan as next chief executive

AllianceBernstein ($AB) appointed president Onur Erzan as its next chief executive, effective April 1, 2027. He will succeed Seth Bernstein, who is retiring as CEO but will remain on the board. The announcement establishes a planned internal succession at the investment manager, which is a subsidiary of Equitable Holdings ($EQH).

Erzan joined AllianceBernstein in 2021 and became president in early 2026. His responsibilities include private wealth management, private alternatives, asset-management distribution, strategy and corporate development. The company is keeping a transition period before he takes on the chief executive role. The succession does not itself announce a change in ownership, a new acquisition or revised earnings guidance for either AllianceBernstein or Equitable.
