Acumen’s cash falls as November Alzheimer’s trial results approach

Acumen ($ABOS) reported $78.6 million of cash, equivalents and marketable securities at the end of its third quarter of 2026, down from $110.2 million three months earlier. Management expects those resources to fund current clinical and operating activities into early 2027. The quarterly operating loss narrowed to $25.8 million from $26.5 million a year earlier as research and development spending declined.

The company also specified November for topline results from ALTITUDE-AD, its 542-participant Phase 2 study of sabirnetug in early Alzheimer’s disease. The trial tests two doses against placebo over eighteen months and will report clinical efficacy and safety measures. Those results remain pending, making the forthcoming readout central to the program’s next steps. Acumen continues to target mid-2027 for an investigational filing from its separate enhanced brain-delivery program.
