Archer clears an antitrust waiting-period milestone for Boeing asset acquisitions

Archer Aviation ($ACHR) disclosed that the US Hart-Scott-Rodino waiting period had expired for its proposed acquisitions of Wisk, SkyGrid and Insitu from Boeing ($BA). The milestone removes that waiting-period requirement from the process. The proposed combination would add autonomous flight, airspace-management and unmanned-aircraft capabilities alongside Archer’s existing electric-aircraft development work.

The transactions still require other regulatory clearances and satisfaction of customary closing conditions, with completion expected by the end of 2026. Expiration of the waiting period is therefore not the same as completing the acquisitions or obtaining aircraft certification. The company disclosed the milestone after the underlying waiting period had ended. This is a new procedural update to previously announced transactions, rather than a separate acquisition agreement or additional aircraft order.
