Accenture buys Avicado to expand digital construction-delivery capabilities

Accenture ($ACN) has acquired Avicado, a Miami-based consulting firm specializing in software and digital processes for construction projects. More than 190 professionals will join Accenture’s US construction business. Avicado works with platforms including Procore ($PCOR), Autodesk ($ADSK), Trimble ($TRMB) and Oracle ($ORCL), helping owners connect project information, procurement, controls and delivery systems across complex capital programs. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The completed acquisition adds specialist implementation capacity for customers in areas such as data centres, public infrastructure and energy. It broadens the practical delivery resources behind Accenture’s construction offering rather than merely announcing a technology partnership. The release does not quantify revenue, earnings accretion or expected cost savings from the transaction. Its financial significance will therefore depend on integration, customer demand and the extent to which the added expertise translates into new or expanded consulting engagements.
