Adaptive reports broader NCCN guidance for residual-disease testing
Adaptive ($ADPT) Biotechnologies said updated National Comprehensive Cancer Network guidance for multiple myeloma gives measurable residual disease testing a dedicated section and names clonoSEQ as a testing option. The update specifies a preferred sensitivity of one cancer cell in one million, with one in 100,000 as a minimum, according to the company’s announcement.
The guidance addresses testing during maintenance and later treatment settings, including after CAR-T therapy, and retains flow cytometry as another testing approach. For Adaptive, the development broadens the documented clinical context for its assay. It is a guideline update, not a new FDA approval, automatic insurance-coverage decision or guaranteed increase in sales. The announcement comes from the test manufacturer and should be distinguished from an independently assessed commercial impact forecast.
