Gallagher’s earnings rise as acquisitions supplement underlying growth

Arthur J. Gallagher ($AJG) reported third-quarter 2026 revenue before reimbursements of $3.93 billion, compared with $3.33 billion a year earlier. Net earnings increased to $406 million from $273 million, with diluted EPS of $1.55 versus $1.04. Adjusted EPS rose to $3.00 from $2.31. Its combined brokerage and risk-management businesses reported 18% revenue growth, including approximately 5% organic growth.

Risk management delivered 10% organic fee growth, while the larger brokerage operation also benefited from acquisitions. The organic calculation excludes acquisition and disposal effects, currency changes and specified other items; notably, it excludes all AssuredPartners revenue for the comparable third-quarter calculation. This matters because reported growth includes a larger acquired-business contribution. Gallagher also spent approximately $100 million repurchasing shares during the quarter, distinct from announcing a new buyback authorization.
