Alnylam’s product sales jump 52% as it enlarges a pivotal heart-disease trial
Alnylam ($ALNY) reported third-quarter 2026 product revenue of $1.29 billion, up 52%, led by Amvuttra and Onpattro’s combined $1.15 billion contribution. Total revenue increased a slower 17% to $1.46 billion because collaboration revenue declined against a prior-year milestone payment. GAAP operating income fell 6% to $345.8 million, showing that faster product sales did not translate directly into higher operating profit. The company maintained its 2026 financial guidance.
Alnylam also increased planned enrollment in the Phase 3 TRITON-CM study of nucresiran from 1,750 to approximately 2,250 patients. The expansion emphasizes earlier-stage cardiac amyloidosis and supports statistical power under conservative assumptions about outcome events. Management still targets a launch by 2030, conditional on positive results and regulatory approval. Enlarging the study is a development decision, not evidence that nucresiran works or has secured approval.
