BlackBerry raises its outlook after revenue grows 26%
BlackBerry ($BB) reported fiscal second-quarter revenue of $163.3 million, up 26%, while adjusted EBITDA rose 81% to $47 million. GAAP net income reached $33.9 million and operating cash flow totaled $29.3 million. Its QNX business generated $80.3 million in revenue, an increase of 27%, providing a major contribution to the stronger group performance.
The company raised its full-year outlook to $616–636 million in revenue and $141–158 million in adjusted EBITDA, alongside adjusted earnings of $0.19–0.22 per share. BlackBerry also disclosed a Coretura design win expected to add more than $100 million to its QNX royalty backlog. That backlog represents prospective royalties over time, not revenue already recognized in the reported quarter.
