Belden plans Indian production of RUCKUS switches as integration advances
Belden ($BDC) plans to manufacture selected RUCKUS ICX Ethernet switches at its Pune facility in India. The move extends RUCKUS’s existing local research and customer-support presence into manufacturing, using Belden’s operating infrastructure rather than building a separate production organization. Management presented it as an early execution step in integrating the networking business.
The combined footprint links production with RUCKUS operations in Bengaluru and Chennai and Belden’s local customer-innovation capabilities. The company expects local manufacturing to strengthen service to customers and improve operating efficiency. It did not disclose the production volume, implementation cost or a quantified earnings benefit. This is a new manufacturing plan for an already acquired brand, not a fresh acquisition of RUCKUS or proof that projected synergies have been achieved.
