Blackbird appoints Adrian Wilding as interim CFO

Blackbird announced on 7 September 2026 that Adrian Wilding has been appointed interim chief financial officer in a non-board role.

Relevant experience

Wilding is a chartered accountant with more than 20 years of finance leadership experience across software, payments, financial technology and subscription businesses.

His remit comes as Blackbird develops its elevate.io offering alongside its existing video-editing technology and platform-licensing activities.

What changes for investors

The appointment establishes interim financial leadership. It does not announce a permanent CFO appointment, a board change or revised financial guidance.

The practical questions are how the finance function supports cost control, funding visibility and the commercial development of the company's products. Subsequent results will be needed to assess revenue progress, cash use and the financial contribution of elevate.io.

For governance purposes, investors should also follow any announcement about the duration of the interim arrangement and the eventual permanent leadership structure.
