Bausch + Lomb receives European clearance for SeeLyra surgical laser

Bausch + Lomb ($BLCO) received European CE marking for SeeLyra, a femtosecond laser platform used in the preparation stages of cataract, LASIK-flap and therapeutic corneal procedures. The system combines real-time imaging with a compact design intended to fit existing operating-room arrangements.

The company expects limited European availability in the coming months and a broader rollout in 2027. It is also seeking regulatory approvals in other markets, including the United States. European clearance therefore should not be presented as worldwide authorization or immediate full-scale commercial availability. The release describes the device’s workflow and imaging features but does not disclose sales guidance, a quantified installed-base target or evidence of a specific near-term contribution to group earnings.
