Boku adds former Spotify payments leader Sandra Alzetta to its board

Boku appointed Sandra Alzetta as an independent non-executive director on 7 September 2026, following an externally facilitated search.

Experience and remit

Alzetta most recently led payments and customer service at Spotify, spending seven years developing its global payments infrastructure and subsequently working on customer-service automation. She previously spent more than 25 years at Visa Europe across products, digital solutions, mobile payments and market development.

Boku connects merchants to local payment methods, including carrier billing, digital wallets and account-to-account schemes. That makes experience with international consumer platforms relevant to the board's oversight of expansion and product choices.

What to follow

The appointment adds independent payments expertise; it does not establish a new Spotify contract or partnership. Alzetta holds no Boku shares according to the announcement.

Future operating updates should show how network expansion and new channels translate into transaction volumes, revenue and cash generation. Today's release contains no revised financial forecast.
