Bridgepoint and Astorg reportedly explore a £2 billion-plus Fenergo exit

Indirect exposure — private-equity portfolio company

Bridgepoint ($BPT) and Astorg are considering selling Fenergo, with a possible valuation exceeding £2 billion, Reuters reported, citing people familiar with the matter. Discussions with potential buyers have taken place, and a sale process could begin in early 2027, but no decision has been made. Both investment firms declined comment. The reported valuation is an indication, not an accepted offer.

For listed Bridgepoint, this is indirect exposure through a private-equity portfolio investment rather than the sale of its own shares. A successful exit could support investment realizations, but the reported valuation cannot simply be counted as revenue or cash payable to the listed parent. Ownership economics, transaction terms and any performance-related income would determine the eventual financial effect.
