Barratt Redrow lowers homebuilding outlook as planning delays persist

Barratt Redrow ($BTRW) reduced its expected financial-year 2027 completions to 17,500–17,900 homes from 17,700–18,200. Planning delays have constrained the number of available sales outlets, with the group now expecting an average of about 405 rather than 415. The revised range points to a slower expansion than previously envisaged.

For FY2026, adjusted pre-tax profit before acquisition accounting adjustments fell 7.1% to £572.8 million, while revenue rose 6.6% to approximately £6.06 billion and completions increased 5% to 17,667. Those changes use the company’s aggregated prior-year comparison. Statutory pre-tax profit rose to £363.5 million. The group has delivered £73 million of cumulative cost synergies, but the lower building target signals a slower expansion ahead.
