Cohort’s £700 million backlog underpins most of its annual revenue outlook
Cohort ($CHRT) reported an order book of approximately £700 million, up from £618.8 million at the end of its previous financial year. The backlog underpins nearly 90% of the market’s revenue expectations for fiscal 2027. The defense-technology group maintained its annual outlook, indicating that the larger order book supports existing expectations rather than a newly upgraded revenue forecast.
Management continues to expect a second-half-weighted performance and sees demand supporting its medium-term objective of a net margin in the mid-teens. The backlog improves visibility but still requires delivery and execution before it becomes recognized revenue. The update is therefore principally an order-book and trading confirmation, not an announcement that the entire £700 million has been earned or that all projects are completed.
