Coiled reports £3.85 million interim loss after oncology transformation

Coiled Therapeutics ($COIL) reported a first-half loss before tax of £3.85 million, compared with £0.53 million a year earlier, following its shift into clinical-stage oncology. Operating activities consumed £2.85 million of cash versus £0.33 million previously. A financing completed during the period provided £7.78 million after fees, leaving cash of £5.10 million at the half-year close.

The figures establish the funding position behind development of AO-252, its investigational TACC3 inhibitor. Management expects initial safety and pharmacokinetic results from the new formulation by year-end, with a larger preliminary efficacy and safety dataset in 2027. Those are development targets, not demonstrated outcomes or regulatory approvals. With operating spending increasing as clinical work advances, the company’s available cash is an important constraint on delivering those milestones.
