Cora reports strong Zone B gold intersections outside the existing Sanankoro model
Cora Gold released initial assays from its Sanankoro resource-update programme on 7 September 2026.
Selected results
| Hole | Reported interval |
|---|---|
| SC0712 | 22m at 2.24g/t gold from 12m |
| SC0716 | 34m at 6.78g/t from 117m |
| Within SC0716 | 9m at 23.91g/t from 128m |
| SC0718 | 54m at 1.06g/t from 144m |
These are reported drilling intervals, not demonstrated mineable widths.
Programme progress
Approximately 10,656 metres have been drilled from the planned 12,000-metre programme. Today's first assay batch covers 1,272 metres.
The company says mineralisation extends outside the 2024 resource model, while results from several other deposits remain pending.
Interpretation
The existing 1.044-million-ounce resource has not been replaced by a new estimate today. Management's discussion of potential mine-life extension and underground options remains subject to further geological, engineering and economic work.
The next evidence is the remaining assays, an updated resource model and how any additions could fit into the proposed processing and mine plan.
