Australian court approves Critical Metals’ European Lithium acquisition schemes
Critical Metals ($CRML) obtained approval from the Supreme Court of Western Australia for the schemes supporting its proposed acquisition of European Lithium. The transaction would acquire all European Lithium shares and listed options, with consideration paid through newly issued Critical Metals ordinary shares. Court approval follows the earlier securityholder vote and clears a separate legal step toward the combination.
The schemes are expected to become effective after court orders are lodged with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, targeted for October 27. Implementation and issuance of the new shares are scheduled for November 5, with Nasdaq trading expected to begin November 6. These dates follow Perth time and remain indicative. The acquisition has not yet been implemented, and the new share issuance would expand Critical Metals’ equity base.
