Ginkgo joins a federally backed RNA-manufacturing project worth up to $17.5 million
Ginkgo Bioworks ($DNA) received a subcontract worth up to $17.5 million to participate in an ARPA-H program focused on RNA manufacturing. Waterfall Scientific is the prime contractor. The project, called ESCALATOR, is intended to combine continuous-flow RNA production with autonomous laboratory hardware, control software and quality-related processes for patient-scale manufacturing. Ginkgo’s role centers on its laboratory-automation capabilities rather than developing a new therapeutic candidate
