Draganfly wins Canadian order for 100 tactical drones
Draganfly ($DPRO) was selected by the Canadian government to supply 100 low-cost tactical intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance drone systems under a five-year arrangement. The scope includes ground-control equipment, payloads, training, documentation, spares and support. The value of the initial firm order was not disclosed because of commercial sensitivity.
Canada can exercise options for up to 4,900 additional systems, with a stated aggregate value of C$24.25 million if those options are used. Additional purchases require written authorization and are not guaranteed. The distinction is important: this is a firm 100-system award with expansion potential, not a confirmed purchase of 5,000 drones. It follows Draganfly’s qualification across the categories of Canada’s defense-drone procurement initiative.
