EssilorLuxottica’s revenue rises 9% as direct sales and wearables expand

EssilorLuxottica ($EL-EURONEXT) reported quarterly revenue of €7.486 billion, up 9% as reported and 7.2% at constant exchange rates. Nine-month revenue reached €22.304 billion, increasing 6.8% as reported and 8.9% at constant currency. Direct-to-consumer sales grew 10.6% at constant currency, outpacing the 3.4% growth in Professional Solutions, while comparable sales increased 6.8%.

Myopia-management revenue grew 24% and wearables revenue increased 20% at constant currency, highlighting expanding categories alongside the group’s established optical business. The difference between reported and constant-currency growth shows that exchange rates affected the quarterly and year-to-date comparisons differently. This is a sales update, not a complete set of profit or cash-flow accounts, so the figures do not establish an equivalent increase in earnings. Growth in newer product categories remains an important operating indicator, but their future contribution will depend on continued adoption and commercial execution.
