FactSet grows subscriptions but reports lower quarterly GAAP earnings

FactSet ($FDS) reported fourth-quarter revenue of $634.7 million, up 6.3%, while organic annual subscription value rose 7% to approximately $2.57 billion. Adjusted earnings per share climbed 11.6% to $4.52, helped by revenue growth and a smaller share count. Reported EPS nevertheless declined to $3.41 from $4.03 as compensation, restructuring and other items weighed on profitability.

The results show continuing demand for financial data and AI-enabled services, but also pressure on the cost base: adjusted operating margin slipped to 33.0% from 33.8%. For fiscal 2027, FactSet projects revenue of $2.600–$2.625 billion, organic subscription-value growth of 5.0%–6.5%, and adjusted EPS of $19.25–$19.65. These are forward targets; subscription value is an annualized contractual measure, not revenue already earned during the quarter.
