Forgent completes Curley's drilling and moves the rig to Cathedral

Forgent updated its 99%-owned Peak Hill gold-copper project on 7 September 2026.

Programme progress

The first component of Phase II is complete: 18 holes totalling 710 metres at Curley's. Samples are to be submitted for assay.

Drilling has begun at Cathedral, where 112 holes are planned across a previously undrilled target between Curley's and Junction. The overall Phase II programme is expected to comprise 130 holes and approximately 8,700 metres.

What has been established

The completed holes provide samples for testing the continuity and scale of mineralisation encountered in Phase I. Cathedral is a geological and geophysical target supported by anomalous surface gold results.

Today's update reports drilling progress, rather than new assay grades or a mineral-resource estimate. The scale of the planned programme should not be confused with the scale of a discovery.

The important next evidence is laboratory results, interpreted continuity and whether Cathedral's target signature corresponds to economically meaningful mineralisation.
