Fraport’s preliminary profit beats forecasts with help from a disposal gain

Fraport ($FRA) estimated third-quarter 2026 EBITDA at approximately €595 million and EBIT at €407 million, above analyst consensus of €574 million and €389 million respectively. The airport operator attributed the difference mainly to a roughly €24 million gain from selling its 50% interest in Medical Airport Service, an equity-accounted provider of occupational health and workplace safety services.

The disposal contribution is significant when assessing the apparent earnings beat: the EBITDA uplift over consensus is smaller than the one-off gain. Excluding that effect, Fraport retained its existing financial guidance for 2026. The announcement supplies preliminary operating-profit figures rather than a complete quarterly financial statement, and the company has not raised its underlying annual outlook. Final third-quarter results remain subject to the scheduled reporting process.
