H.B. Fuller lifts quarterly earnings as pricing offsets weaker volumes
H.B. Fuller ($FUL) reported third-quarter revenue of approximately $938 million, up 5.2%, with organic sales growing 4.4%. Pricing rose 7.4%, offsetting lower volumes. Adjusted earnings increased 21% to $1.52 per share, while adjusted EBITDA rose 9% to $187 million. Its 19.9% adjusted EBITDA margin widened by 80 basis points, showing improved earnings conversion despite uneven demand.
The adhesives manufacturer’s full-year outlook calls for adjusted EBITDA of $655–670 million and adjusted earnings of $4.70–4.85 per share. Reported net income was approximately $79 million, or $1.44 per share. The results show the benefit of pricing and cost management, but the volume decline remains an important qualification to the headline revenue growth.
