Six Flags introduces installment payments through Upgrade for passes and eligible purchases
Six Flags announced Flex Pay by Upgrade on 7 September 2026.
Product terms
Eligible online purchases of $49 or more, including qualifying season passes, can be financed through fixed monthly installments.
Approved guests can use activated pass benefits while continuing to make scheduled payments. Applicants must be at least 18, with credit approval and loan terms determined by Upgrade's lending partners.
Availability and terms depend on eligibility and location. The announcement should not be read as offering interest-free financing to every visitor.
Commercial implications
The option could help customers manage the upfront cost of a pass and support conversion at checkout. That is a potential commercial effect, rather than a measured uplift reported today.
The release does not specify Six Flags' merchant costs, risk-sharing arrangements, expected loan volume or incremental earnings.
What to follow
The useful measures are pass sales, conversion, attendance and the economics of the payment arrangement. Financing changes payment timing for eligible visitors, but does not itself demonstrate higher total spending or profit for Six Flags.
