Ferrexpo restarts one pellet line in Ukraine following its fundraising
Ferrexpo announced a production restart at its Ukrainian operations on 7 September 2026.
Restart scope
The company mobilised operations over the weekend after announcing a $100m fundraising on 4 September. Production has resumed using one pellet line.
Ferrexpo intends to focus exports on European customers, citing attacks affecting Black Sea ports and vessels.
What this changes
The announcement confirms actual production has recommenced. It does not establish that every line is operating, restore full historical capacity or provide a revised annual production forecast.
The fundraising is the previously announced financing that supported the restart; it is not another $100m raise today.
What to watch
The important measures are sustained operating availability, pellet output, delivery routes and cash margins. Financing provides liquidity, while ongoing production and customer deliveries determine the operating benefit.
Security conditions and export logistics remain central to how reliably the restarted line can operate and how much output can be sold.
