Bilfinger lowers earnings outlook and launches €75 million restructuring

Bilfinger ($GBF) reduced its 2026 revenue outlook to €5.3–5.7 billion from €5.4–5.9 billion and cut its expected EBITA margin to 3.2–3.6% from 5.8–6.2%. The industrial-services group said second-half performance was falling materially short of its original assumptions. Free-cash-flow guidance was also lowered to €180–220 million from €250–300 million.

The company approved its Agile restructuring program, carrying approximately €75 million of one-off earnings charges. Excluding those costs, the revised EBITA margin would be 4.6–5%, still below the earlier forecast. Bilfinger expects the program to contribute around €75 million annually from 2028 once fully implemented. Its medium-term 2030 targets remain unchanged, meaning management is maintaining its longer-term ambitions despite the immediate reduction in expected profitability and cash generation.
