GE Aerospace raises outlook as orders surge and service demand stays strong
GE Aerospace ($GE) reported quarterly orders of $19 billion, up 49%, and GAAP revenue of $14.1 billion, up 16%. Adjusted revenue increased 18% to $13.3 billion, while adjusted operating profit rose 30% to $3 billion. GAAP earnings per share reached $2.32 and adjusted earnings increased 36% to $2.25. The commercial-services backlog exceeded $170 billion, providing visibility into future maintenance and support activity.
Management raised its full-year financial outlook and offered an initial expectation of low-double-digit growth in commercial-services revenue for 2027. Cash generation did not rise with earnings in the latest quarter: operating cash flow was $2.2 billion and free cash flow was $2 billion, each down 14%. The results therefore combine strong order and profit momentum with weaker quarterly cash conversion. Backlog and next-year growth expectations should not be treated as current-period revenue.
