Genmab and Incyte agree colorectal-cancer combination trial
Genmab ($GMAB) and Incyte ($INCY) agreed to test a three-part treatment approach in previously untreated metastatic colorectal cancer carrying a KRAS G12D mutation. The planned Phase 1/2 study combines Genmab’s petosemtamab, an antibody targeting EGFR and LGR5, with Incyte’s experimental KRAS G12D inhibitor INCB161734 and standard chemotherapy. Genmab will run the study, while Incyte will contribute funding and supply its drug.
The agreement extends both companies’ development programs into a new combination strategy for a difficult-to-treat molecular subgroup. It is intended to investigate whether targeting separate cancer pathways together improves outcomes. Financial amounts and a trial-start date were not disclosed. Neither the combination’s safety nor its effectiveness has been established, and this is a research collaboration rather than a product approval or a commercialization agreement with disclosed revenue.
