Generac secures $2.4 billion Amazon generator agreement
Generac ($GNRC) signed a long-term agreement to supply backup generators for Amazon ($AMZN) data centers, with initial deliveries worth $2.4 billion scheduled for 2027 and 2028. The arrangement gives the equipment maker a substantial supply commitment tied to Amazon’s infrastructure expansion rather than an immediate addition of the entire contract value to reported sales.
Amazon also received warrants to purchase up to 1,693,745 Generac shares at $200.9266 each. Of those, 307,954 vested immediately, while the remainder are linked to qualifying payments under the commercial relationship. The vesting conditions reference purchases of up to $8 billion. That larger figure is a condition attached to the warrants, not a separate guaranteed order or revenue forecast. Future warrant exercises could increase Generac’s share count.
