Great Southern Copper reports strong recovery in initial metallurgy tests
Great Southern Copper ($GSCU) reported initial flotation results from high-grade composite samples at Mostaza in Chile. The tests achieved copper recovery above 90% and silver recovery above 85%, producing concentrate containing approximately 27% copper and 1,414 grams of silver per tonne. The tested feed composites contained 5.09% copper and 279 grams of silver per tonne.
The results indicate that conventional flotation can recover metals from the material tested. However, the work used two high-grade composites, not samples representing every grade and ore type across a defined mine plan. Broader testing of drill-core material is planned alongside further exploration. These early laboratory results do not establish mine-wide recovery assumptions, an economic resource or the commercial viability of a future operation.
