HORNBACH lifts Q2 sales and profit while maintaining its full-year outlook
HORNBACH Holding published preliminary figures on 7 September 2026.
Quarter and half-year numbers
| Measure | Q2 2026/27 | Year-on-year change |
|---|---|---|
| Net sales | €1,813.7m | +7.3% |
| Adjusted EBIT | €124.6m | +12.8% |
For the six months through August, sales were €3,816.2m, up 6%, and adjusted EBIT €285.6m, up 4.9%.
Management attributes Q2 growth to customer demand and a favourable calendar effect of 1.3 additional business days. Gross-profit growth outweighed continuing cost pressure.
Guidance remains unchanged
The group still expects full-year sales at or slightly above the prior year's €6,433.9m, and adjusted EBIT around €264.7m. In its terminology, “around” that EBIT level allows a 5% variation.
Strong quarterly figures should therefore not be presented as a full-year upgrade or extrapolated evenly across seasons.
The numbers remain preliminary. Final Q2 and half-year results are scheduled for 29 September, when margins, cash flow and the outlook can be assessed in greater detail.
