HPE raises networking targets and secures $1.2 billion AMD-based order
Hewlett Packard Enterprise ($HPE) secured a $1.2 billion order from cloud provider Vultr for AMD ($AMD) Helios systems, its first order for that rack-scale platform. The equipment will support Vultr’s US data centers. HPE also increased its fiscal 2027 networking revenue-growth outlook to the high-teens to low-twenties percentage range and lifted its Juniper-related annual cost-synergy target to $800 million by fiscal 2028, from $600 million.
The disclosures strengthen HPE’s AI infrastructure pipeline while extending its expectations for the enlarged networking business. AMD has indirect partner exposure through the named Helios deployment; its revenue share was not disclosed. The $1.2 billion is an order value, not immediate recognized revenue, and the savings and growth figures remain targets. Delivery timing, revenue recognition and execution of the integration will determine the ultimate financial contribution.
