Heidelberg Pharma reports early myeloma responses and selects a development dose
Heidelberg Pharma ($HPHA) presented Phase 1 results for pamlectabart tismanitin, its experimental antibody-drug conjugate for relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma. Among 31 evaluable patients in dose cohorts five through nine, 13 responded, giving an overall response rate of 42%. The wider dose-escalation analysis included 53 heavily pretreated patients, who had received a median of five prior treatment lines.
The company selected 175 micrograms per kilogram for further development and said Phase 2a expansion was progressing. It reported that observed adverse events were reversible, with no treatment-related Grade 5 events and no maximum tolerated dose reached. These findings come from an open-label, nonrandomized early-stage study. They do not establish superiority over existing treatment or predict the outcome of later, larger trials.
