GE Aerospace agrees to buy aircraft-parts supplier for $11.75 billion

GE Aerospace ($GE) agreed to acquire Consolidated Precision Products for $11.75 billion to expand production of critical aircraft-engine components. It plans to fund the deal with $7 billion in cash and the remainder through borrowing, with completion expected in the second half of 2027. Shares in CPP rival Howmet Aerospace ($HWM) fell about 8% during trading following the announcement.
