Invinity grows orders but reports a wider first-half loss

Invinity Energy Systems ($IES) received 34.2 MWh of customer orders in the first half, compared with 11.7 MWh a year earlier. Revenue and project grants increased to £1.7 million from £0.9 million, and the gross loss narrowed to £0.7 million from £1.9 million. The net loss nevertheless widened to £12.1 million from £10.6 million as development spending increased.

Net cash stood at £10.5 million. The company reported a committed order book of 77 MWh for delivery across fiscal 2026–2028 and retained its annual expectations, with performance weighted toward the second half. Its much larger 12.5 GWh opportunity pipeline is not a backlog of signed orders. Converting orders into deliveries and revenue remains central to the outlook.
