ChipMOS reports 33% annual sales growth, with a small monthly pullback
ChipMOS ($IMOS) reported unaudited monthly revenue of NT$2.786 billion, equivalent to approximately US$88 million at the exchange rate used in its release. Sales increased 33.3% from a year earlier but declined 1.3% from the preceding month. The semiconductor assembly-and-testing provider said strong memory demand continued to support its business, citing an AI-related imbalance between demand and available supply.
Management said it is working with customers on both near-term and longer-term requirements, while aligning new capacity with committed demand. The figures provide a timely view of activity in chip packaging and testing, but they are revenue data rather than a full earnings release. The small sequential decline also means the latest report should not be described as another month of uninterrupted sales acceleration, despite the strong annual comparison.
