Iofina agrees to build two additional iodine plants in Oklahoma
Iofina ($IOF) signed agreements with an existing brine-supply partner to build two additional IOsorb iodine plants in Oklahoma. The company plans to develop IO13 and IO14 concurrently, with both targeted to become operational in the first half of 2027. The agreements extend an established relationship rather than introducing a new operating partner.
The expansion follows the near-term commissioning plan for IO12 and supports Iofina’s longer-term ambition to produce 2,000 tonnes of iodine annually. That target is not current output, and the new plants have yet to begin commercial production. Their contribution will depend on construction, commissioning and operating performance. The announcement does not disclose a separate capacity or construction-cost figure for each plant, and it should not be treated as immediate incremental revenue.
