Ipsen lifts annual growth and margin forecasts after strong drug sales
Ipsen ($IPN) raised its 2026 sales-growth target to approximately 23% at constant exchange rates, from more than 20%, and its core operating-margin forecast to around 39%, from above 37%. Third-quarter revenue reached €1.17 billion, increasing 28.3% as reported and 26.7% at constant currencies. Rare-disease sales rose 88.6% on the currency-adjusted measure, while oncology grew 17.7% and neuroscience increased 23.1%.
For the first nine months, total sales reached €3.36 billion, up 24.6% at constant exchange rates. The upgraded outlook assumes continued double-digit growth in the core portfolio and expansion of Somatuline sales despite expected generic lanreotide entry in the final quarter. This competitive assumption remains a material qualification: the forecast does not imply that the group is insulated from generic pressure or that its pipeline programmes have secured additional approvals.
