EnergyPathways appoints Jacobs to advance its proposed MESH storage project

EnergyPathways ($EPP) appointed Jacobs ($J) to support planning, regulatory approvals and environmental work for its proposed MESH long-duration energy-storage project near Barrow-in-Furness. The concept targets 300 MW of output and 55 GWh of storage, with the ability to supply power for more than 100 hours. Jacobs’ role includes engineering and consenting support as the project moves through its next development stages.

The appointment is intended to strengthen preparations for the next round of Ofgem’s long-duration-storage support process, including confirmation of eligibility. No contract value was disclosed. MESH remains a development project: the announcement does not establish that construction has started, that government support has been awarded or that all approvals are secured. The next material steps remain regulatory progress and the conditions needed for an investment decision.
