JELD-WEN agrees debt restructuring framework with $135 million of new financing
JELD-WEN ($JELD) signed a commitment and consent letter with creditors covering approximately 94.5% of its 2027 notes and 72.2% of its 2028 term loans. The proposed transactions would refinance or exchange those obligations into first-lien debt due in 2031 and provide $135 million of new-money borrowing. Exchange offers are expected to begin in the coming weeks.
The agreement addresses near-term refinancing pressure and would give the door-and-window manufacturer additional liquidity to support operations and its business plan. It is not a completed refinancing, however, and the extra funding increases debt rather than equity. Implementation depends on participation, required lender support and other conditions. JELD-WEN specifically warns that failure to complete the transactions could require costly alternatives and adversely affect its financial position.
