Kavango appoints Jasper Musadaidzwa as CEO and moves to an executive-chair structure
Kavango Resources announced Jasper Musadaidzwa's immediate appointment as CEO and executive director on 7 September 2026.
Leadership changes
Musadaidzwa has approximately 27 years of mining experience, including 17 years at AngloGold Ashanti and senior operational responsibility in Guinea.
Donald McAlister, previously interim CEO and non-executive chair, becomes executive chair. This changes both the chief-executive position and the executive status of the chair.
Operational focus
The appointment brings mining-operating experience to Kavango's development and production ambitions in Zimbabwe. Achievements at the incoming CEO's former employers should be distinguished from production or financial results at Kavango itself.
No new production figure, resource estimate or quantified earnings target is established by the appointment announcement.
The next substantive milestones are an operating plan under the new leadership, project execution, funding requirements and reported production performance. Shareholders should also follow how responsibilities are divided between the CEO and executive chair.
