Lockheed advances missile production plans and GM component deliveries

Lockheed Martin ($LMT) announced a framework with the US defense department to accelerate production of the AIM-260 Joint Advanced Tactical Missile. The proposed multiyear procurement approach remains dependent on congressional approval. The release did not disclose a firm contract value or a specific annual production total, so the framework should not be read as a fully funded order of a stated size.

Separately, Lockheed reported that GM ($GM) Defense delivered its first PAC-3 MSE components 22 days after receiving a contract. That delivery occurred earlier and was newly described in the announcement. The supplier milestone supports efforts to expand missile manufacturing capacity, but it concerns components rather than completed missile deliveries. The two releases address distinct programs and are combined here as related production updates, not one contract.
