Medtronic begins European clinical use of its Stealth AXiS surgical system

Medtronic ($MDT) announced the first European procedures using its Stealth AXiS surgical system, with more than 23 procedures performed across seven sites in Germany, the UK, Italy and Spain. The initial experience includes spinal surgery. The platform combines AI-driven planning, real-time navigation and robotic assistance within a single surgical workflow.

Stealth AXiS forms part of Medtronic’s AiBLE ecosystem, which connects planning, procedural technologies and information across the surgical journey. More procedures are planned as clinical teams gain experience with the system. The announcement is a deployment milestone, not a new randomized study demonstrating superior patient outcomes. It also does not disclose the number of systems sold, the value of associated hospital contracts or a quantified contribution to Medtronic’s revenue forecast.
