Marvell presents new optical technology demonstrations for AI networks
Marvell ($MRVL) outlined new optical-networking demonstrations aimed at the next generation of AI infrastructure, including 2-nanometre technology supporting 400 gigabits per second per optical lane. The demonstrations span higher-capacity data-center links, coherent connectivity and co-packaged optics, addressing the bandwidth requirements of increasingly large AI systems.
The showcase includes work toward 3.2-terabit connectivity and a 102.4-terabit-per-second co-packaged optical architecture, alongside demonstrations with ecosystem partners. These are development and interoperability milestones, not announcements that every configuration is already in volume production. The release did not disclose a new customer order value or a revised earnings forecast. It provides an update on the technology roadmap and partner ecosystem rather than evidence that all future capacity has been commercially adopted.
