Microsoft adds coding and autonomous-agent tools to Copilot

Microsoft ($MSFT) unveiled Code, a Copilot tool for creating software from natural-language requests, and Autopilot, an always-on agent with controlled workplace permissions. Initial previews are planned for the end of the month.

Office applications are also being embedded in Copilot, alongside AI cost-management tools. The announcements expand the product roadmap, but preview access does not mean every customer can already use the new capabilities.
