MaxLinear introduces Puma 9 chip platform for lower-cost broadband upgrades
MaxLinear ($MXL) has introduced Puma 9, an 8-nanometre system-on-chip platform supporting DOCSIS 3.1, 3.1+ and 4.0 cable-broadband services. It is available to operators and equipment partners developing gateways. Features include DDR5-memory compatibility, edge-AI processing, a foundation for Wi-Fi 8 and post-quantum-security readiness.
