Nacon sales fall as restructuring reduces its workforce
Nacon ($NACON) reported revenue of €40.7 million for the second quarter of fiscal 2026/27, down 13.0% from €46.8 million. Games revenue fell 24.4% to €27.8 million as new-title sales faced a difficult comparison with the previous year’s release schedule. Accessories provided an offset, growing 28.7% to €11.6 million as the US market recovered and new RIG headsets gained traction. First-half revenue declined 6.1% to €73.3 million.
The publisher is preparing a restructuring plan for its liabilities under existing judicial reorganisation proceedings. Its workforce fell from 1,125 at March-end to 814 at September-end, alongside studio closures and completed restructuring at two studios. The plan is to be submitted to the commercial court; the release does not establish court approval or the company’s exit from proceedings. Upcoming game and accessory launches remain prospective support for trading.
